Dr. McCormack was born and raised in Michigan, where she studied Spanish and Chemistry at Hope College and earned her DDS at the University of Michigan. While in college, she ran the 1500m and the 6k, and was nationally ranked in both events. A teammate, whose Mom was a missionary dentist, inspired her to consider dentistry by sharing a letter and photos of a recent mission to Ethiopia. While studying dentistry, Dr. McCormack was the president of Michigan’s student chapter of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry, she participated in clinical outreach in Jamaica, and dental research in Ethiopia.
Dr. McCormack moved to North Carolina to complete a year of advanced education in general dentistry at ECU, where she met her husband. She enjoys the variety of procedures general dentistry offers, and she takes the time to converse with patients about their oral health and to develop a treatment plan that fits their goals. Her favorite part about her job is getting to know patients while delivering compassionate and gentle care.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking North Carolina's beautiful mountains, painting the beautiful landscapes she sees, and spending quality time with friends and family.
